Since 2016 Booking.com has helped Maps.me achieve higher retention rates and conversions in its product offering. We talk to Eugene Lisovskiy, CEO and Alexandr Rybin, chief of marketing and business development at Maps.me about their experience of partnering with Booking.com. Maps.me is an offline map company, founded in 2011. Maps.me users engage with the company before travel, downloading a map to take on their trip. Maps.me has been free to use since 2014. This meant they had to find an alternative revenue stream. Hotels are fourth in popularity on Maps.me. Knowing Booking.com is a market leader they chose to partner with us to increase conversions and enhance user experience. After integrating Booking.com they noticed 30% of returning users were booking hotels. Maps.me love that Booking.com gives you additional value inside your own product. It’s the best solution for their users. It’s important to Maps.me that Booking.com works closely with partners and that they value the partner relationship. In the future, they are working towards deeper integration inside Maps.me. There will be no need to switch apps which will lead to even higher retention and conversions.
